Conference in celebration of Lennart Carleson

50 years ago, in 1968, Lennart Carleson was enabled to construct flats for visitors with financial support from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, as well as some insurance companies. The main building was modified to provide necessary office space. The grants from the Nordic countries made it possible to invite mathematicians for extended visits, and to support young mathematicians with fellowships. Since then, the Institute has been operating as envisaged by Gösta Mittag-Leffler.

On the 23rd of March, at 13:30, at the Institute (venue: the Wallenberg seminar hall, Kuskvillan), we shall celebrate Lennart’s birthday with lectures by E. Bombieri, P. Jones and Nikolai Makarov.

No registration needed.
