Bounds on shifted convolution sums

Number Theory

24 March 18:15 - 19:15

Morten Risager - University of Copenhagen

Shifted convolution sums for automorphic forms have been studied for about 100 years. Famous instances include sum in the additive divisor problem and in the hyperbolic lattice point problem. We discuss various bounds and some thoughts on how to improve them. We also discuss various average bounds.
