Coideal actions and branching of Brauer algebras

This is part of joint projects with Michael Ehrig and Ge Li. We consider Brauer algebras and their representation theory in the nonsemisimple cases. We formulate a Schur-Weyl duality statement with the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra and then connect it with the category O for classical so(n). As an application one obtains gradings on Brauer algebras. Finally we will briefly explain the graded branching rules via some action of a coideal subalgebra inside a quantum group. This coideal subalgebra is a quantum analogue of quantum symmetric pairs.
