Find usInstitut Mittag-Leffler is located in Djursholm, a suburb of Stockholm about 10 km northeast of the city, 7 km from the KTH campus, and 4 km from the campus of Stockholm University. Location map from GoogleMaps NOTE! - You have to buy the ticket for public transportation before entering the bus/train. At the information desk at the airports you can buy tickets both for the airport transportation and for the local bus/subway/train system in the Stockholm area. It is a good idea to buy "rabattkuponger" (a strip of 16 coupons for SEK 180) for the local transportation system, which can be used also for later trips. A local transportation system ticket is valid on bus/subway/train up to 1 hour, when stamped. - Always ask the taxi driver for the approximate price before you take a cab. See approximate prices below. 1. Arrival at Arlanda Airporta) Taxis can be found outside the arrival terminal. "Taxi Stockholm" has a fixed Arlanda-Djursholm fee (SEK 510 in both directions, Sept. 2010).b) Airport coaches leave from the airport every 10-15 minutes. The price is SEK Single 119, Round-trip 219 (July 2010). (i) You can get off the airport bus at Järva Krog and take bus 509 (direction Danderyds sjukhus) from Vallgatan (close to Scandic Hotel "Järva Krog") to Danderyds sjukhus, from where you take bus 606 to Djursholms torg. To continue from there, see 6. or (ii) You can continue to the Stockholm City terminal at the Stockholm Central Station. To continue from there, see 4 a) or b) and 6. c) The Arlanda Express train takes 20 minutes from Arlanda to the Stockholm Central Station. It leaves every 15 minutes. Fee SEK Single 240, Round-trip 460(July 2010). To continue from the Stockholm Central Station to the Institute, see 4 a) or b) and 6. 2. Arrival at Skavsta airportSkavsta airport is situated approx. 100 km south of Stockholm. Take the airport coach to the Stockholm City Terminal, close to the Stockholm Central Station. It is the end station of the bus. The price is SEK Single 119, Round-trip 219 (July 2010). From there you follow the instructions under 4 a) or b) and 6.3. Arrival at Bromma Airporta) Taxis are available outside the airport. The fare to Djursholm should be around SEK 280-350 depending on the time of the day.b) If you would like to take public transportation, please ask at the information desk at the airport. There are different options to reach Djursholms torg. The price is SEK 22:50. To continue from Djursholms torg to the Institute, see 6. 4. Arrival by train at the Stockholm Central Stationa) Taxis are available outside the station building, approx. price SEK 225 - 275.or b) You can take the subway (T-bana) from T-Centralen, at the Stockholm Central Station, (red line, direction Mörby Centrum). At Mörby Centrum take bus 606 (direction Djursholms centrum) to Djursholms centrum (the subway ticket will be valid). To continue from there, see 6. You can also take a taxi from Mörby Centrum. 5. Arrival by carIf you arrive by car just take highway E4 through the center of Stockholm. You leave E4 at Järva Krog and take E18 in direction Norrtälje. The exit for Djursholm takes you onto Vendevägen, which leads to Auravägen (at the COOP store) after approximately 2 1/2 kilometers.6. From Djursholms centrum to Auravägen 17When arriving by bus 606 to Djursholms centrum, walk back to the COOP store and turn left up the hill on Auravägen. After 150 meters you will see the Institute, which is the big terracotta orange building on your right. |
