Housing
For participants there are several housing units on the Institute grounds. Kuskvillan (coachman's villa) and Gula villan (former home of Gösta's brother Fritz) are from the time of Gösta and Signe Mittag-Leffler.
RestrictionsSmoking is strictly forbidden in the apartments.Please use indoor shoes in the apartment to keep the floors nice. It is not allowed to put pictures on the walls in the apartments. Washing facilitiesThere are two laundry rooms, each with two washing machines, two tumble dryers, and an ironing board (with iron). You must purchase laundry detergent at your own cost.The machines in the 'new' laundry room (between apartments I and K) can be booked ahead of time by signing the list. The machines in the 'old' laundry room, entrance on the gable near apartment A, are used on a first come, first served principle. Take care to not overload the machines and do not remove the baskets from the laundry. You are expected to wash your bed sheets and towels yourself during your stay. Upon departure, please leave the dirty, but folded sheets and towels in your bedroom. CleaningThe apartments will be cleaned once a week by our cleaner.Household waste and bulky refuseOn the Institute grounds near the caretaker's house you will find a couple of garbage containers for household waste. There are also containers for recycled paper, paper packaging, hard and soft (e.g. plastic bags) plastic packaging, clear glass packaging, coloured glass packaging and metal packaging. Check that you throw the waste in the correct container, please.ParkingThere are parking places on the premises of the Institute.ServiceFor problems related to the maintenance and repair of your apartment or shortage of utensils, turn to the visitor programme administrator or to the caretaker. The caretaker lives in the brown house at the entrance to the Institute grounds. He will also help you with URGENT matters after office hours. |
