Circulating Mathematics via Journals: The rise of internationalization 1850-1920
20 June - 23 June 2016
The purpose of the conference is to investigate questions concerning the circulation of mathematics at different scales (local, national and international) and in different cultural areas, via the specialised mathematical periodicals that developed in the time period 1850-1920: their main actors (producers of mathematics, publishers, users), their editorial backgrounds and strategies, and their interplay (exchanges, translations) with other journals.
Participation by invitation only.
