Mathematics of Novel Materials
01 June - 05 June 2015
A remarkable progress achieved recently in production of novel materials raised important mathematical questions. The aim of the proposed workshop is to address these challenges. We plan to bring together mathematicians of different background with physicists to examine together prospective new directions in this area, with the emphasis on nano-materials (such as carbon nanotubes and graphen derivates), metamaterials (including photonic crystals), and topological insulators.
Participation by invitation only.
