The Institute sees as one of its missions to stimulate interest in mathematics by spreading information about mathematical research and its importance for contemporary society, science, and culture.

Kleindagarna (Swedish)
"Kleindagarna" is a didactic conference, bringing together Swedish upper secondary school teachers and active researchers in mathematics. The first conference, which took place at Institut Mittag-Leffler on 17-19 June 2011, focused on new additions to the Swedish upper secondary school curriculum, in areas such as number theory, combinatorics, geometry, modeling, and computer-aided solutions of differential equations.

The conference is related to the international Klein project.

Mathematical science for biological systems
This symposium held at Institut Mittag-Leffler 14-15 April 2011 gave a broad perspective on the cooperative interaction between mathematical and biological science.
