Postdoctoral fellowship grants for 2011/2012

Institut Mittag-Leffler announces a number of grants for the academic year 2011/2012. The scientific areas for the year's two programs are:
Complex Analysis and Integrable Systems fall 2011, 1 September - 15 December
Geometric and Analytic Aspects of Group Theory spring 2012, 16 January - 30 May

In order to be considered for a grant you must fulfill the following conditions:

your research interest must fall within the area of the program you apply for
you must be either an advanced graduate student or a recent PhD (degree obtained 5 years ago or later)

The grants consist of:

accommodation and office space free of charge.
a monthly stipend
travel expenses to and from Stockholm

Preference will be given to applications for longer stays, preferably for a semester.

Instructions how to apply:

Fill out the application form.

Press the "make pdf" button at the bottom of the form.

Check that the pdf application is complete and accurate. If you want to change or add something, return to the web form, make the changes and press the "make pdf" button again.

Print out the pdf file and sign it.

Scan the signed application form and send it by email to

Attach copies of your work (if any) in pdf, ps or doc format.

Arrange that two or (preferably) three letters of recommendation are sent to the Institute.

If for some reason scanning is difficult to arrange you may replace step 5 by sending the signed application form and the attachments (if any) by ordinary air mail to

Your application should arrive no later than January 12, 2011. Decisions on awards will be made by the end of January, 2011.
