Originally from Belgium, I obtained my PhD at Oxford in 2001. After postdoc positions at Northwestern, Aarhus and the University of Chicago, I moved to Copenhagen, where I have been since 2006. I am a topologist, rather on the geometric side of the subject. I like to study manifolds, their symmetries, loop spaces,… I find it amazing how much we still don’t know about these objects!
