Abstract
This is intended for an audience with a dynamical/geometrical interest. The idea is to put in (biased) perspective recent results of mine with Otto van Koert, starting from Poincaré’s approach. I will assume no knowledge on contact/symplectic geometry, but will move at a fast pace. There are lecture notes available which just came out of the oven, soon to be uploaded to the arXiv. I will appreciate any comments from those interested
