Dietmar Bisch: Hyperfinite quantum channels and their symmetries

Abstract
A natural family of quantum operations on the hyperfinite
II_1 factor can be studied through associated subfactors and their
quantum symmetries. We are able to construct examples of quantum
operations that have finite or infinite symmetries and show that
there are quantum channels that are more noncommutative than others.
