Abstract
Sets of natural numbers defined via certain digit restrictions can be understood as fractal, self-similar sets, with much in common with more familiar fractal subsets of Euclidean spaces. I will explain how this parallel can be used to transfer certain results about times r-invariant subsets of [0,1] to results about integer digit restricted sets. This talk will be based on joint work with Daniel Glasscock and Florian Richter.
