Abstract
We will discuss measure rigidity results for diagonalisable actions on locally homogeneous spaces. The focus will be on the transport of entropy argument relying on large scale self-similarity of leafwise measures, quantitative recurrence, and Diophantine estimates. In ongoing joint work with Elon Lindenstrauss, Andreas Wieser, Zvi Shem-Tov this argument is used to deal with the case of sufficiently generic rank two diagonalisable subgroups in quotients of split groups.
