Nattali Tamam: Divergent Orbits for the action of Cones of the Diagonal groups

Abstract
Behaviour of orbits of cones of the diagonal group on certain homogenous spaces are connected to many questions in Diophantine approximations. We will discuss this connection specifically for the diverging orbits as well as the obvious cases. We will discuss the existence and non-existence of non-obvious diverging orbits. The talk is based on a joint work with Shreyasi Datta.
