Abstract

The generating functions for enumerative invariants currently enjoy a more privileged status in physics than in mathematics. They (sometimes conjecturally) define functions on moduli space encoding non-trivial physics as boundary conditions of the physical theory are varied. In this talk, we will consider the time-honored generating function for genus 0 Gromov-Witten invariants and study its relation to the discrete (Lorentz) symmetries charge conjugation, parity, and time reversal.
