Abstract
The equivalences inside an ordinary category are just isomorphisms. The equivalences inside a 2-category are well-understood, also for homotopical contexts. But what are equivalences inside a 3-category? Some answers arise from work of Gurski and from previous joint work with Hadzihasanovic, Loubaton and Rovelli. My question is about the comparison of these answers. I will also try to sketch some possible applications.
