Miguel Fernandez: [FW] Time-splitting and unfitted meshes in incompressible fluid-structure interaction

Abstract
In this talk, several numerical difficulties that arise in the approximation of fluid-structure interaction problems involved in cardiac hemodynamics simulations will be discussed. Particular emphasis will be placed on numerical approaches inspired by the influential work of Peter Hansbo, including Nitsche’s method for interface problems, cut finite elements, and divergence-free approximations.
