Abstract
We will review some of the subspace correction methods which have been proposed for unfitted finite elements within the last years. Then, with a stronger focus on multigrid methods, we discuss the grid transfer operations for CutFEM for boundaries and interfaces. Then, we discuss vertex-patch smoothers as a powerful domain decomposition approach, yielding fast convergence for a wide range of equations, including CutFEM. Finally, we discuss strategies for an efficient implementation on GPU hardware.
