Noncommutative Harmonic Analysis and Quantum Information
June 12 - June 16, 2023
Harmonic analysis in various guises has been a central theme of mathematics from the beginning of 19th century. In a parallel development information theory has established itself as an important mathematical field, richly interacting with computer science. The revolution of quantum theory has brought the need to develop both harmonic analysis and information theory in the language of operator algebras. The workshop will bring together researchers from noncommutative harmonic analysis, operator theory and quantum information theory, to discuss recently developed unexpected examples of interactions between these fields.
