Quantum Dynamics and Spectral Theory

June 10 - June 14, 2024

Since the early days of mathematical quantum theory, it has been known that quantum dynamics and spectral theory are inseparably linked to each other.

Indeed, apart from spectral theory there are natural connections of the subject to harmonic analysis, theory of oscillatory integrals or scattering theory. In fact, the diversity of topics and methods in spectral theory has led to the existence of various sub-areas, and while many methods and ideas from the study of one topic may be relevant to that of another, this is not always clear to specializing researchers. This conference aims towards rectifying this situation, bringing together experts and students from three central areas of spectral theory, where we believe useful connections can be made and where a creative research environment can be promoted.
